• Owned a workstream in a three-team migration from a Play Framework monolith to REST.li microservices, covering 300+ API endpoints serving 25,000+ employees. Delivered member profile filtering, media filtering, compliance, and part of the InMail migration within 8 of 9 planned months, reserving the final month for bug bashes and production readiness.
• Modernized LinkedIn's CS Tool monolith by decomposing company, jobs, ads, subscriptions, and reviews into independently deployable microservices. Developed inter-service APIs, migrated Oracle schemas and data to MySQL with Java and Hibernate, and improved performance by 40%+ through business logic modernization and centralized logging.
• Automated CI/CD pipelines across 6 service repositories with GitHub Actions, automated testing, and SonarQube quality gates on every pull request.
• Expanded JUnit and Mockito unit and integration test suites across microservices, raising coverage from 50% to 80% with tests for critical business logic and API workflows.
• Conducted structured code reviews for junior engineers, giving actionable feedback on API and database design, code quality, error handling, and service contracts.
